Meh. Tumblr for me has just become arguing about straightedge and reposting pics of bands. Not adding anything to my life. I’m out, bitches.

Straight edge beer pong! So I’m at this party, and some dude offers to drink for me, if I partner up with his friend for some beer pong. He was a big guy to say the least, so I figured he could handle, and he did! I have to admit, I was pretty nervous, being that the dudes we were playing against had gone twelve games without losing once. We played for awhile, and we did suuuuuper well, pretty much had the other dudes beat all of the way through. The dudes we were playing with were pretty sore at me for not drinking, but it’s cool.
I feel that by playing beer pong, I’m going against my edge in some way. But I think it’s super important not to isolate myself from people solely based on how they choose to spend their weekends. Sex, drugs, and straight edge! Tonight was coooool.
I’m edge and I play pong all the time. My fiancé drinks for me. People are always surprised when they find out im edge but I don’t give a shit whether they drink or not…

straight edge culture is also 100% ego based. cool you dont drink or smoke or do drugs. no one cares.
did you know that straight edge goes beyond that? coffee. unprotected sex. tattoos.
live life how you feel it would be best for you. feel free to take from whatever culture you feel fit but never let that culture mandate your life. that’s ego.

Wait, how are coffee, unprotected sex, and tattoos a big part of Straight Edge culture?
If you don’t care then shut the fuck up.
GHOSTXSHIP
Young, straight edge bands like GhostXShip prove that the one time Mecca of the straight edge scene, Syracuse, is still thriving with individuals dedicated to positivity and sobriety. Heavy and lyrically uncompromising the band carries the banner that scene forerunners Earth Crisis hoisted nearly two decades ago. Fittingly, the album’s title track features a song written by Earth Crisis frontman Karl Beuchner, as well as guest vocals by Pauly Meltdown/Blackout Rage.

Why is it allowable to publicly express bias against Mormons? Flippant and biased comments about Mormons are somehow socially acceptable. Just why is it socially acceptable to denigrate and trivialize and insult a class of people as a class of people? They had a name for that…
I agree. I’m a Mormon, and while it sucks to be discriminated and ridiculed, it’s not Jim Crow at all. We have equal rights and protection.
At the same time, he has a point. If you make fun of Jews or Muslims, you’re a bigot. If you make fun of Mormons, it’s funny.
Not Jim Crow though.
